Fosil – the rock and roll hotspot $$$

Karakoy is well-known for all its little cafés, breakfast places and restaurants in the small streets, but definitely not for its night life. Although there are some few places that have an alcohol license, nights were rather empty here. That changed with Fosil, a rock and roll bar on the third floor at Kemankeş Caddesi. Other than all other venues in Karakoy, Fosil is located directly on the Bosphorus and offers a breath-taking view to the historical peninsula Sultanahmet as well as to the Asian side. Often you can even catch a glimpse of the enormous world cruisers there. If one need a breeze of fresh air, one can step out onto one of the little balconies and enjoy the view. Although Fosil also offers finger food and some dishes, most people come here to have some drinks, especially the different flavoured shots Fosil is known for. Later in the night it gets really crowded and DJs ensure the vibe to stay vibrant and fun. The interior is kept very industrial with exposed brick walls, varying shades of grey (later, baby..), wood and bare bulbs. The highlight is the large bar where a huge variety of cocktails is served. Be sure to drop by for a drink!
