Opened in November 2012, Propaganda combines a restaurant with a club. The kitchen is a modern but simple fusion of various cultures and influences. The signature dish is their beef roll, you should definitely give it a try! Their menu not only illustrates their dishes and reasonable prices, but also their events and live performances. During dinner time, the DJ booth and the dance floor are hidden behind a red curtain that is removed later on. The tables are moved away and it turns into a club playing everything from electronic and house music to hip hop. Well-known local and international DJ’s play here as well as famous guest DJ’s under the musical direction of DJUğur Özgönül, aka Low Earth. During the week, they also host jazz, indie and soul artists of Istanbul. While it is open everyday except Sundays, the biggest parties are definitely on Fridays and Saturdays.
The interior architecture designed by Spaniard David Garcia is very industrial – with exposed bricks, steel and iron- but with elegant details. The walls are covered with the colourful, large-scale works of street photographer Goyo Valmorisco and hereby softening the industrial atmosphere.
